Our last day of term is Tuesday 21st December and we re-open in the New Year on Tuesday 4th January.

We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, see you in 2011!!

Christmas Concerts

Don't forget its our Christmas concerts this coming Monday and Tuesday.

Monday 13th December at 1.30pm (children to be at pre-school for 1.00pm)

Tuesday 14th December at 10.00am (children to be at pre-school for 9.30am)

Sundown Adventureland

It was a really hard decision to make but we had to cancel our trip to Sundown Adventureland today, the weather is simply too cold and roads approaching Sundown are still covered in ice and snow.

We have booked to go again on Thursday 14th April 2011 - more details to follow in the New Year

Snow Days!!

Pre-school was closed on Wednesday 1st December and remains closed on Thursday 2nd December due to the adverse weather conditions.

We will endeavour to keep parents as up to date as possible either via the website or via our text messaging service.

The decision to close is never an easy one to make. Our main concern is always the safety and well being of the children, parents and staff. We take into consideration road conditions and the distances to be travelled, the conditions under foot and the ratio of adults to children before making our decision.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Christmas Fayre in the Snow!

Many thanks to all of you who braved the snowy weather and supported our Christmas Fayre on Saturday.  We had a great time and raised £600!!

Big thank you to everyone who helped on the day and those that spent their pennies!!

Christmas Fayre

This Saturday is our annual Christmas Fayre from 12.00pm till 2.00pm.  There will be a raffle, refreshments, cakes, Santa in his Grotto and lots, lots more.  So please come along and support your pre-school,

All money raised goes direct to pre-school so that we can continue to provide high quality childcare and education.

Candle Party

There will be a PartyLite candle party held at pre-school on Wednesday 10th December at 7.30pm.

Your chance to buy some lovely candles and accessories whilst supporting your pre-school as all commission generated will go direct to pre-school.

Committee Meeting

On Wednesday 3rd November we will be having a committee meeting at the Risley Park Pub at 7.30pm.  We will be discussing and planning our upcoming Christmas Fayre - we hope lots of you can join us.

Christmas Day Trip

We have had a very positive response to our recent questionnaire concerning the possibility of organising a day out to Sundown Adventureland on Thursday 9th December.

We now need to gather exact numbers of those children wanting to take part and any parent helpers.

Until final numbers are known we estimate the cost per person to be between £15 - £20.  The date may also be subject to change.

If you would like your child to attend please let Jayne know as soon as possible and before Friday 15th October.  A list will be available to complete on the main doors or please feel free to text, email, phone or let any member of staff know.

We hope lots of you can come along and join in the festive fun!

What's Happening....

Well we're already half way through a term, doesn't time fly by when you're having fun!

A big welcome to all our new starters, we hope you're enjoying your new school.

Next week sees our first parent committee meeting of the new school year.  It will be on Tuesday 5th October at the Risley Park Pub at 7.30pm, the meeting will also include our AGM where we will be electing our committee.  If you'd like to be nominated for a specific role or simply want to find out more please speak to Jayne or pop along on Tuesday and join us for a drink.

Calling all bakers!!  Monday 11th October is the date for our first cake sale, all donations gratefully received whether homemade or shop bought!!  All proceeds will help fund our Christmas creative supplies.

Welcome Back

We hope everyone has had a lovely Summer and is now back into the swing of the new school year.

We would like to welcome all our new starters and hope everyone has a fun time whilst at pre-school.

There is lots happening and lots planned so keep your eyes out for updates here as well as newsletters and also on our Facebook page.

Holiday Time

Well it's just about time for us to break up for the Summer holidays.

We'd like to wish everyone a very happy and safe Summer and send lots of luck and love to all those children moving onto pastures new.

A big thank you to all our staff for another years hard work, for their time, patience and dedication to pre-school.

We must also thank our committee for their tireless work this past year; they have helped us raise much needed funds without which we would simply not be able to function.

And finally thank you to all the children for making our days at pre-school so full of fun and laughter.

Wow! Didn't our children perform fantastically at this afternoon's end of year concert!!

Well done to everyone taking part and thank you to all of you who came along to support your children.

A big thank you to all the staff for the costume, set and prop making skills - it all really added to the atmosphere, well done ladies!

End of Year Concert

This years concert is taking place on Monday 19th July at 1.30pm.

Please ensure all children taking part are at pre-school for 1.00pm so we can ensure a prompt 1.30pm start.

The concert will last for about 40 minutes and include the presentation of our leavers presents.

Light refreshments will also be available.

Rehearsals have been going well and we hope everyone enjoys the show!

Summer Fayre Success

A big thank you to everyone involved with last Saturday's Summer Fayre, we managed to raise a fantastic £590!!

Big thanks to our committee for organising such a fun afternoon and to all those parents who supported the event.

Summer Fayre

Well it's nearly here....this Saturday 3rd July from 1.00pm till 3.00pm come and support your local pre-school!

They'll be lots to do - bouncy castle, BBQ, cakes, refreshments, raffle, tombola and much much more.

All money raised will help us buy a much needed climbing frame and accessories.

Don't forget that this Friday 25th June and Monday 28th June are both Inset Days!

Committee Meeting

A special Committee Meeting will be held on Wednesday 9th June at 8pm at The Risley Park pub to discuss our upcoming Summer Fayre.

We welcome all parents to attend and look forward to getting your ideas and much needed support, as well as the chance for a bit of socialising!

Kids Klub Video

Today we had much fun at pre-school when Kids Klub Video visited and turned our children into movie stars! We hope you enjoying watching the action.

Please ensure that all orders are returned to pre-school by Thursday 27th May. Remember every DVD bought will generate commission for pre-school, thank you.

Easter Success

Many thanks to all of our parents who supported our Easter fundraiser on Monday 29th March, we had some fabulous Easter bonnets and much fun was had by all.

We raised a fantastic £270!!

Easter Fun!!

Monday 29th March is our Easter Fun event - our chance to raise some much needed funds.

We will be having an Easter Bonnet Parade and are looking forward to seeing all the children's creations!  There will also be an Easter Egg Tombola, Raffle, Cake Stall, Refreshments and Egg Rolling!!

So please come down and see us on Monday 29th March at 12.00 midday and help raise some money.

Smartie Update

Many thanks to all those parents who have returned their Smartie tubes full of coin we have so far collected just over £100!!  WOW!!  Thank You!!

Well we've reached 80% support on the Haven Fun & Fitness website! Many thanks to all of you who have signed up so far, just 20% more and we get our bonus space hoppers!!
