We are all looking forward to our Easter Party and Teddy Bears picnic on Tuesday! We will be going on an egg hunt, egg rolling and dancing to some of our favourite songs.

What's Happening at Pre-School w/c 20.3.23

Hi Everyone,

Our Topic of New life and Springtime continues this week. The children will be taking part in a variety of activities that promote this topic. Our role play area remains the same 'Springfield Garden Centre and Farm shop' which all the children have been enjoying.

On creative we will be making lots of different farm animals, making tractors, using forks to print our own flowers and printing with vegetables too.

Our focus this week, will be all about the children's understanding, can they follow instructions?, do they understand different positional language? We will also be putting their memory skills to the test by playing 'Kim's Game'.

Our ring game this week will be 'The Hokey Cokey' and we will be playing with the parachute during our movement time. Can the children follow instructions to move the parachute up/down, high/low, fast/slow?

We will continue reading some of our favourite Spring time stories and singing lots of our favourite animal songs too.

Monday is our 'Bring your Parent to school' day. If your child attends a Monday morning session then the session will run from 9:15am till 10:30am, if your child attends the afternoon session then it will run from 12:15pm-1:30am.

Hi Everyone,
Just a few things to remember.....
-Monday we are closed for Inset day.
-It's Parent Consultation week from Tues-Friday, please remember to book an appointment if you wish to talk to your child's keyworker.
-Easter Raffle tickets go on sale from Monday.
Our topic of New life and Springtime continues, this week our imaginative area will be turned into a garden centre. We will be playing with flowers, real veg, plant pots and tools.  Our focus this week will be weight and capacity; we will incorporate this into our imaginative area by providing weighing scales and different sized plant pots.
We will learn about different baby animals, by playing with our farm animals in straw and cornflour. Will they get stuck in the mud? Can the children pair the babies to their mummy's?
In our investigation unit, we will be exploring with compost, insects, real flowers, plant pots and spades.
We will be reading some of our favourite Spring themed stories and singing lots of different animal songs too.
A busy week ahead but lots of fun 🌸

What's Happening at Pre-School w/c 6.3.23

Hi Everyone,

Topic- Our new topic over the next few weeks will be all about Springtime and New life. We will be learning about how things grow, plants, animals and ourselves.

Focus- We will be focussing on size, length, and height. Our story of the week will be Goldilocks and the Three Bears, this will help to support our focus.
The home corner will be turned into the Three Bears House. We will be playing in porridge, filling and emptying different sized containers. We might even try some porridge at snack time too!

Creative- Lots of free art again this week, where the children will have the opportunity to access a variety of different resources and materials to make their own creations.
We will have playdough out all week. Can we roll the dough out to the correct length of the picture cards provided?

Please remember to log onto Tapestry, this gives you the opportunity to share all the lovely photos and activities that your child has done at Pre-School, with them at home. Including what their next steps are.
