What's Happening at Pre-School w/c 26.02.24

 Hi Everyone,

We are starting our new term off with a focus on the EAD (Expressive arts and Design) area of the EYFS. This is a huge area to focus on so we will run our observations over two weeks.
EAD is a fun and creative area and we are looking forward to taking part in many activities that support this.
The children will have access to a variety of our dressing up clothes and props in our physical area. This is to promote their imagination, their ability to build up stories and to join in role play with others. We will also be den making and providing different open-ended resources that the children can use to extend their play.
We will have free art available on the creative table where the children can experiment with different materials, textures and colours. Incorporating junk modelling too!
Our small world play and messy play will be combined this week as we create an under the sea themed tuff spot. We will also be colour sorting a range of different textured objects and materials to see if we can create our very own rainbow on the investigation table.
We will be exploring and building with a mix of different construction materials this week, to see what we can join together and build. We will have wooden blocks, pegs, sticks, cups, bamboo logs and much, much more.
We will be playing musical instruments along to the rhythm of our favourite nursery rhymes and for our movement time we will be dancing to different types of music using ribbons.
Outdoors we will be mark making onto rocks with chalk and we will be using a variety of natural and home items and recycled objects to make musical instruments.
A reminder that our AGM is on Thursday night at 7.00pm if you wish to join us.

Please remember to log into Tapestry, this gives you the opportunity to share all the lovely activities and photos with your children at home. Including what their next steps are.

Any questions please ask or use Tapestry

Many Thanks

'The Ladies'
