Busy Autumn Term

We have a very busy term at the moment with lots of exciting things happening!

We are just launching our 'Make a Christmas Cracker' competition with some fab prizes to be won. Each entry costs just £1 and we hope to see lots of bright and colourful creations! Crackers should be with us by Friday 1st December so the winners can be announced at our Christmas Fair.

We will be planning our Christmas Concert very soon so we need your reply slips and ticket orders back by Wednesday 22nd November.

Thursday 23rd November is an Inset Day so pre-school will be closed while the staff will be very busy preparing for the coming Christmas season.

We need your session requirements for January back by Friday 24th November so we can try and fit everyone in!

The week starting Monday 27th November is non-uniform week in exchange for a donation of a bottle of something for our bottle tombola; can be anything you like - wine, perfume anything you like as long as it's in a bottle!

On Tuesday 28th November we have a visit from Wild Science who will be bringing along some animals for some festive fun! This will be taking place at 4.00pm and costs £6.50 per child; we have a handful of places still available.

Friday 1st December we have our annual Christmas Fair. This will take place from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. There will be lots of fun for all the family; we will have tombolas, cakes, hot dogs, face painting, chocolate, crafts, lucky dip and of course Santa will be in his Grotto!! Entry will be £2 for adults (children free) with a complimentary glass of something festive! We are still furiously planning this event and if anyone can help with the organising, manning a stall or sourcing raffle prizes please let Jayne know as soon as you can (either email springfieldpreschool@hotmail.co.uk or 07960 983423)

If you would like a letter from Santa for your child then information will be coming home shortly and we will need your requests back by Wednesday 6th December. Letters are personalised, come with reindeer food and cost £2.50 each.

We then have our Christmas Concerts on Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th December at 4.15pm both days. Some children have been asked to attend both concerts while our youngest and newest children have been asked to just attend one of the days. Children will need to be at pre-school for 4.00pm so that we can get everyone into costume. Our committee will be on hand with hot drinks and treats while you're waiting for the concert to start. We will be videoing the concert for parents to buy and therefore we will be requesting no photography during the performances.

And to finish the term our final week, starting 18th December, will be our 'Christmas Party Fun Week'. We will have lots of games, DVD time, face painting, party food and special gift bags from Santa for all the children. There will be a small cost of £3.50 per child to help us do all of this. Oh and of course we expect to see lots of festive attire too!

Phew! I said it was a busy term!
